My stranded-on-a-desert-island cocktail? This is it. It's got the big juicy flavor of grapefruit and lime, the bite of blood orange soda, a touch of sea salt and of course the party starter, tequila! But thankfully, I'm not stranded on a desert island. Instead, I'll be indulging in this pretty—in the cutest ever glasses from White Elephant Designs—for Cinco de Mayo along with a little tacos y guac. Recipe below! xx
Blood Orange Paloma
|2 oz. fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice||2 oz. blood orange soda (I used San Pellegrino)|
|2 oz. cup silver tequila||Juice of half a lime|
|Grapefruit chunks for garnish||Sea salt (optional)|
Sprinkle sea salt on a plate and juice the edge of your glass with a slice of lime. Dip your glass rim in the sea salt until coated all the way around.
Fill your rocks glass 3/4 of the way with ice.
Add grapefruit juice, blood orange soda, tequila and lime juice.
Stir gently until ingredients are mixed.
Top with a chunk of grapefruit and enjoy!
